How the estimate works
- NAT Gateways: hourly charge ($0.045/hr) + $0.045/GB data processing, at AWS's US East (Ohio) prices. We assume 80% of that traffic can move to VPC endpoints; check your own VPC Flow Logs for the real share.
- Over-provisioned compute: if your average CPU utilization is low, we estimate the savings from rightsizing toward a healthy 60% target.
- Spot migration: we assume 40% of your remaining compute tolerates interruption and use a 65% discount. That is an assumption, below the up to 90% off On-Demand that AWS states for Spot.

How I work
Fixed price, stated up front
